The characteristic soft, flowing cobalt blue gives this piece wonderful depth and unmistakable antique English character.\n\nThe underside bears the original blue backstamp:\n\nSYDNEY\nROYAL SEMI PORCELAIN\nWOOD \u0026amp; SON\nENGLAND\n\nThe Wood \u0026amp; Son name, rather than the later Wood \u0026amp; Sons name, places this piece in the company's earlier period of production. It is believed to date to approximately the late 19th to very early 20th century, circa 1890s–1907.\n\nApproximate Dimensions\n\nWidth: 11 1\/2\"\nHeight: approximately 2 1\/2\"\nLarge shallow serving-bowl form\n\nCONDITION\n\nGood antique condition with substantial age-related character.\n\nThere is visible small manufacturing irregularities and surface wear consistent with a piece more than a century old.
